As can clearly be seen from the lack of entries, I did not get a lot of time during the mad month of November to actually write anything in my blog. More testament to my lack of time planning than actual lack of time, but on a plus point, I did finish NaNo and that magical 50,000 word target so I get to wear the winners badge and have that rather snazzy purple band under my picture on the site.
Yes, I am pleased that I managed it as last year I did not, writing only 32,000 words but I learned much from the experience on both occasions. I can only get better! The work itself needs much, firstly to be finished and revised a couple of hundred times before I have any intention of revealing it to the outside world; but what now?
The main driving force behind becoming am member of the NaNoWriMo family was, and still is, to write for a living. If I were to be honest to myself, it has been my desire to do so for the majority of my working life though family and other important commitments have always needed to come first. Writing was never seen as a viable option. Now? Things have changed somewhat and I can finally look at writing as a way of generating income and I intend to look into every opportunity that rears it’s head. I can but try and I will succeed at some level. I suppose that ‘level’ of success now depends on me!
